Obituary

John A. Saboites, 80, a lifelong resident of Walpole, died, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his home.

Born in Norwood on October 13, 1928, he was a son of the late John and Louise (Krauchunas) Saboites.

Mr. Saboites was a graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School and was an Army veteran of the Korean War attaining the rank of Private First Class.

Before his retirement, he worked as a construction laborer for many years and was a member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.

Mr. Saboites was an avid gardener and loved animals. Johnny would have liked to offer everyone one last punch in the nose.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Bremilst of Norfolk and will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was a brother of the late Andrew Saboites, Helen Gudeczauskas and Charles Saboites.

Graveside services will take place on Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Purr-Fect Cat Shelter, P.O. Box 548, Medway, MA 02053 or to a charity of one’s choice.
