Mary (Porcelain) Creamer, a 60 year resident of Charlestown, died on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Marian Manor Nursing Home in South Boston following a lengthy illness. She was 79 years old.
Mary worked at Schrafft's Chocolate Candy Company in Charlestown for more than 25 years. She retired in 1989. She was a member of The New England Hemophilia Association.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late William E. "Buzz" Creamer. She is the devoted mother of Anne Powers of Dorchester, William E. Creamer Jr. and his wife Nancy of Fitchburg and the late John F. Creamer. She is the loving grandmother of John and David Powers, Melissa, Melanie, Gillian, Matthew and Brian Creamer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday June 5, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Mary's Funeral Mass will be on Saturday morning June 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. in St. Brendan's Church, 589 Gallivan Blvd. Dorchester. Burial will be at the Veteran's Administration National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday June 9, 2009 at 2:15 p.m.
