Obituary

Edmond “Moe” Richard, age 79 of Fall River. Passed away in Fall River, June 2, 2009 after a long & courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Mary (Martins) Richard. Born in Fall River, son of the late Clovis and Albina (Guerette) Richard.
He was a retired Gunnery Sgt. serving in the U.S. Marine Corp for 23 years. He served in the Korean War, was a Drill Instructor & Air Controller at Paris Island, and a Recruiter. Previously, he served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. After his retirement from the Marines, Moe worked for the Dighton Public School Dept. retiring as a Head Custodian. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Simeon “Sam” Richard, Omer Richard, Rita Guilmette, Blanche Stets, Rosilda Silvia, and Lorraine Valcourt.

His Private funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. THURSDAY 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. There Are No Calling Hours.
