Vesta L. (Ted) Colyer 84 of Louisville, born December 24, 1924 in Bertram Tx. Passed away Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Park Terrace.
She retired from the old Bacon’s Dept.Store in Shively where she worked in the Ladies Dept. for 29 years. She was a member of Shively Christian Church, where she taught Bible school, and worked in the office, she also worked for Friendship House on 4th Street.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray & Lucy Reed.
She is survived by her loving & devoted husband of 64 years Hewett and son Mike Colyer (Darlene), their children Timothy & Melissa, & great-grandchildren. Her brother Dennis Reed (Andy) and their children Danny & Heidi.
Her funeral will be Friday 11am at Owen funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation 11am to 8pm. Thursday and after 9am on Friday.
She will be missed dearly and remembered with great love and affection by all who new her.
