Angelina H. "Angie" (Tortolano) Hatch, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away at home on June 1st, 2009 lovingly surrounded by her daughters. Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Cistrone) Tortolano. She attended Woburn public schools and graduated from Woburn High School with the class of 1943. Angelina was a machinist for many years with the Altron Corporation in Wilmington, where she worked on printed circuit boards. As a Woburn native, she was dedicated to the community and was very active with the Republican City Committee. In her spare time, she Mrs. Hatch loved to bowl and won numerous trophies for her accomplishments. She also enjoyed baking, canning, traveling, sewing and knitting. Angelina created beautiful dresses for her daughters and always knitted for the Ladies Sodality Christmas bazaar at the former Immaculate Conception Church in Winchester, where she was a member for 50 years and participated in the church choir. She also loved parties and being around friends and family. For the last 12 years, she was a receptionist/hostess at Mirrored Image Hair Design, a salon owned by her daughter Liz. Angelina was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Hatch, and the loving mother of Helen A. Hatch and Elizabeth A. Hatch, both of Woburn. She was also the dear sister of Mary Tortolano and Antonio “Sonny” Tortolano both of Woburn, Rose Fiore of Winchester and the late Violet Melaragni and Edith Maiullari and is further survived by her dear friend Roy Josephson and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Friday, June 5th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thurs. from 4-8PM. Interment Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
