Jeffrey D. “Jeff” Grady, 48, of Whitman, formerly of West Falmouth, died suddenly, Saturday May 30th in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, after suffering complications following surgery. .He was the husband of Jennifer (Carew) Grady. He was the son of the late Donald and Eileen (Gaynor) Grady. He was born in Wareham and grew up in West Falmouth, where he was a resident for over 40 years, before moving to Whitman 5 years ago.
In addition to his wife Jennifer, he will be remembered dearly by his sisters Joanne Grady- Savard and her family, Gerard, Michael and Matthew Savard of Duxbury, Jacqueline Generous of Naples, FL., and his twin Jean Olenick of East Falmouth, and her family Joe and Shannon Olenick; his father and mother–in-law, Bob and Adele Carew of Whitman; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. He was also the brother of the Late Robert Grady and Suzanne Rolerson.
Jeff was a graduate of Falmouth High School class of 1979. He worked as a counselor for the Gosnold Rehabilitation Center in Falmouth and was member of the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. Jeff loved the beach and was an avid sports fan, especially the Red Sox. He was devoted to his wife and loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. His quick humor, warm smile and hearty laugh were a delight and he will be missed for years to come.
His services will be held on Friday June 4th at 9:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery Whitman. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 4th from 4:00-8:00PM.Donations may be made in Jeff’s name to Cradles to Crayons, 82 Myrtle Street, North Quincy, MA 02171.
