Obituary


Jesup- John Edgar Sizemore, 61, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was born in Rogersville, Tennessee and had lived in Jesup for 23 years. He had previously worked in the glass industry in Illinois (Local 164) and had worked at Hinesville Plate Glass & Mirror since 1985. Mr. Sizemore was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid outdoorsman, and a truck pull enthusiast and mechanic. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Keven Sizemore of Jesup; son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Becky Sizemore of Ludowici; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Cline of Bloomington, Ill., and LaDon Deerwester of Heyworth, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at the Ludowici First Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Rentz officiating.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.

Burial with Military honors by the American Legion will be held at the Walthourville Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Dell Stephens, Kelly Daniels, John Allen Tillman, Russ Martin, Edward Overstreet, Kim Stone, Johnny Brown, and Timmy Metz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 117 Drenon Dr., Jesup, Georgia 31545.
