Cora B. (Michaud) (Marchand) Marion, age 93, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Lowell after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond Marion who died in 1996 and Archille "Archie" Marchand who died in 1966.
She was born in Manchester, NH on May 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Phillippe and Leda (Durette) Michaud. Cora resided in Lowell and was formerly of Dracut where she was a communicant of Ste. Therese Parish.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Tewksbury Hospital in central supply for 14 years. Earlier in her life, Cora worked is several shoe shops in the Lowell area.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Henry Fournier of Nashua, NH; her godchild, Lorraine Lagasse of Tyngsboro; also several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Irene Ferreira. She was the sister of the late Walter and Leo Michaud, Annee Marion and Doris Moreau.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Tuesday morning, June 2 from 8:30 until 10am followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30am at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish - Ste. Therese Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Greater Lowell, PO Box 1965, Lowell, MA 01853 or to the D'Youville Foundation, 981 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
