Obituary

BOYETT - William “Bill” Boyett, 61, passed away Saturday morning, May 30, 2009. He was born May 23, 1948 in Alma, GA and moved to the Fernandina Beach – Yulee area as a child with his family. He was a member of the 1966 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School and left soon after graduation to serve in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Independence. He had been employed by Rayonier and Georgia - Pacific. Six years ago, Mr. Boyett moved back to Yulee from Palatka, FL and was co-owner of Envy Us Lawn Care with his son Mike. He was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church were he had served as a deacon. Mr. Boyett was predeceased by a daughter in law, Cindy Boyett who passed away in 2008. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sandra Boyett of Yulee, FL; two sons, Tate Boyett of Palatka, FL and Michael Boyett (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Winston and Iris Boyett of Fernandina Beach, FL; his mother in law, Estelle Anderson of Yulee, FL; two brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Kim Boyett of Fernandina Beach, FL and Mark and Vicki Boyett, also of Fernandina Beach; a sister Kay Bush of Fernandina Beach; and two grandchildren, Dale Boyett and Kaitlyn Felten. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Blackrock Baptist Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
