Goffstown, NH– Mrs. Ruth M. (Bernard) Golden, 83, formerly of Methuen MA., and Manchester, NH, died Wednesday May 27, 2009 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Facility in Goffstown, lovingly surrounded by the staff and her family.
Ruth was born in Lawrence MA., in 1925. She was the only child of Arthur Bernard and Mary (Ryan) Bernard. Ruth was a graduate of Searles High School, Methuen, MA. Although an only child, Ruth was blessed to share a lifelong, sisterly bond with her cousin Kathleen (Sis) Devlin of Methuen.
Ruth was a homemaker for the greater part of her life devoting her energies to her family. Ruth enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James J. Golden, in 1988.
Ruth is survived by her son Christopher J. Golden of Manchester, NH; loving daughter in law Gwen R. Golden; adored grandson Matthew C. Golden; precious great grandson Camden Thomas Golden; and numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law and sisters in law.
Arrangements: There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 2nd at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to one’s favorite charitable organization are welcomed.
