Ann K. (Ranahan) Pratt, 87, of Franklin, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Leo F. Pratt who died in 2003.
Born in Boston on July 1, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine (Harrison) Ranahan.
A longtime resident of Franklin, Mrs. Pratt grew up in Medway and graduated from Medway High School where she played basketball and tennis. She later attended college.
Mrs. Pratt was a homemaker for most of her life and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed summering in North Eastham on Cape Cod for many years.
She is survived by her son, Paul F. Pratt and his wife, Rebecca of Milford and her daughter, Deborah A. Pratt of Johnston, RI. She was mother of the late Patricia and Katherine Pratt.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Abbinett and a sister, Rita Oliver of Rochester, NY.
She was a sister of the late Edward, Frederick Jr. and William Ranahan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, June 2 at 9:15 a.m. from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m.
