WORCESTER-Marjorie G. (Willey) Fenderson, 77, of 138 Stafford Street, died Thursday, July 10th in Worcester Medical Center at St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. She leaves her husband of 60 years, Rodney W. Fenderson; 3 sons, Wayne R., Gregory L. and Guy M. Federson, all of Worcester; 2 brothers, Arthur Willey of Clearwater, FL and Milton Willey of Belleview, FL; a sister, Madeline Grabel of Orlando, FL; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Roger A. and Gary L. Fenderson and 2 brothers, Maurice and Stuart Willey.
She was born in Hartland, ME, the daughter of John and Gladys (Stuart) Fenderson and moved to Worcester in 1945. Mrs. Fenderson was confined to a wheelchair after being stricken ill with polio at the age of 16 years old and was a capable homemaker and mother to her 5 sons. As a child, she enjoyed rollerskating and animals. Later on in life, she trained to be a pedigree poodle breeder.
The funeral service will be Thursday, July 17th at 10:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, July 16th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
