TEWKSBURY - Helen S. (Jachimowicz) Bocko, 89, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, died Tuesday May 26 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the wife of the late Alphonse A. Bocko who died November 2, 2002.
She was born in Lowell on February 24, 1920, and she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Jozefa (Madej) Jachimowicz. She received her education in Lowell schools and she was a graduate of Lowell High School, where she was a majorette in the school's marching band.
Mrs. Bocko spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Lowell.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing.
She is survived by two daughters Cynthia Bocko of Tewksbury and Helen Bates of Newton Centre; a brother-in-law Frederick Bocko and his wife Roberta of Port St. Lucie, FL; three sisters-in-law Felecia "Helen" Murray of Springfield, VT, Dorothy Bocko of Hollywood, FL, and Ruth Bocko of Sharon; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Alfons J. Bocko.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church on High St. in Lowell. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
