OBITUARY
Fitchburg
Rita Mary (Bernard) Bryant. 86, died Sunday, May 24, at the Golden Living
Center, where she had resided for the past two years.
Rita was born in Fitchburg, April 22, 1922, the daughter of Herman and
Delia (Adams) Bernard and was a life long resident. She attended local
schools. She was employed for many years as a clerk at the former
Watson's market. She retired in 1985. During the World War ll years, she
was employed at Simonds Saw and Steel, now Simonds Industries.
Rita was a member of the Senior Bowling League at Putnam Bowling Alleys
for many years. and was an avid card player. Rita was very active in many
activities at the Golden Living Center and was much loved by everyone.
Rita is survived by her brother, Edward Bernard of Leominster; her sisters
Yvonne Melanson in Florida and Theresa Leger of Fitchburg. many nieces
and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Rita's husband of 56 years, Robert Kibling Bryant died August 18, 2002. Her
son Robert Dennis Bryant died September 13, 1981. Her brother Louis
Bernard also died before her.
A visitation time will be held on Wednesday May 27, from 10:00A.M. to 12
Noon. Following cremation burial will be in New Cemetery in Ashburnham
at a later date. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family.
