DRACUT – Mary Pauline (Skoczolek) Mikulis, 92, of Dracut died Monday May 25, 2009 at her home.
She was the wife of the late John P. Mikulis. Born in Lowell on March 24, 1917, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Fal) Skoczolek.
Mrs. Mikulis was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She worked as a tax examiner for the IRS for 22 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Seniors, Lowell Council on Aging, Centralville Seniors, Polish American Veterans Auxiliary, and Our Lady of Czestochowa Sodality. She also enjoyed line dancing, needlework, and sewing. She will be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mikulis is survived by a son John A. Mikulis and his wife Donna of Sacramento, CA; two daughters Katherine A. Picard and her husband Donald of Sandown, NH and Lorie E. Mikulis of Dracut; two sisters Helen T. Malinowski of Chelmsford and Josephine Swistak of Lowell; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 9 to 10 AM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 10 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
