Leo E. Latulippe, 89, of Derry, NH died Sunday May 24, 2009 at his home. Mr. Latulippe was born in Burlington, VT on January 13, 1920, son of the late Eugene and Emma (Goddette) Latulippe. He was a lifelong resident of Derry. Mr. Latulippe was a 1938 graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry and later served with the US Army Air Force during WWII. He retired in 1987 as store manager for Benson's Lumber and Hardware after 25 years of employment. He held membership in the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 and the VFW Post 1617 both of Derry. He was also a member of the B-26 Marauder Historical Society and a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Derry. Mr. Latulippe was very active with the Derry Little League Association for 15 years and served as past president and coach.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nathalie J. (Chadwick) Latulippe of Derry, two sons, Peter Latulippe and his wife Elaine of Derry, Michael Latulippe and his wife Anne of Derry, six grandchildren, Paul and David Maurice, Peter, Kris, Jake and Joel Latulippe, four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, and Roman Latulippe, and Samuel Maurice, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Leo E. Latulippe, Jr. and by his daughter, JoAnne Maurice.
Calling hours were held on Thursday May 28, 2009 from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial with military honors followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
