SPENCER; Doris M. (Kenward) Cook, 92 of 33 Lake St., died Monday, May 25 at Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield.
She was the wife of Robert H. Cook, Jr. who died in 1987. She leaves a son, Gary A. Cook and his wife Suzanne of Spencer and Redington Shores, FL., two sisters; Mary Griffith of Spencer, Roberta Lapierre and her husband Joseph of Northbridge, 5 grandchildren; Carl W. Cook of Hyannis, Darren Cook of Marston Mills, Denise Russell of West Yarmouth, Jonathan Cook and his wife Jeniffer of Spencer, Justin Cook and his wife Kristin of Spencer, 5 great-grandchildren; Kenneth, Kyle and Kelsey Russell, Bradley and Samara Cook and several nieces and nephews.
Doris was pre-deceased by a son Carl W. Cook in 1973 and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Cook in 1987, a brother Percy Kenward, Jr., a sister, Norma MacDonald and a grandson, Jeremy Cook in 1995.
She was born in Spencer the daughter of Percy & Mae (Fairbrother) Kenward, Sr. and lived here all her life.
Doris was a teller at Spencer Savings Bank for 10 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Spencer and it's Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the Spencer Golden Age Club and the Spencer Chapter of the AARP and the Lashaway Senior Citizens Club.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 27 at 10 A.M. in the 1st Congregational Church, 205 Main St., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the Service from 8:30-9:30 A.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Please omit flowers.
