Ethel M. Del Tufo, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully at the Wingate Home in Haverhill, MA., on May 24, 2009.
Ethel was born on August 18, 1925 and she was the wife of the late Joseph C. Del Tufo, Sr. of Boston, MA. They married on April 6, 1945 and enjoyed 41 years together.
She was an avid bingo player and liked crocheting and ceramics in her earlier years. Ethel loved going to visit her children, as well as, going shopping and eating out at restaurants (she was especially fond of frozen strawberry drinks with lots of whipped cream and cherries).
Ethel is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Mills and her husband Michael of Delafield, WI., Mary O’Grady and her husband John of Rochester, MA., Louise Del Tufo Zalanskas of Litchfield, N.H., and her son, Joseph C. Del Tufo, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Raymond, N.H.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Brady, Wendy Mills McKellar, Colleen McSorley, Kristen Mills, Alissa Del Tufo Schintzius, Joseph Del Tufo III, Lauren Zalanskas, Nicole Zalanskas; four great-grandchildren, Tamara Hollinger, Tiffany Hollinger, Summer McKellar, Alexis McKellar; and one great -great-grandchild, Jeffrey.
The family would like to thank Wingate at Haverhill staff and the Hospice staff who provided excellent care and comfort to Ethel.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St. in Manchester, N.H. Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.; with a short funeral service the following morning, Wednesday, May 27th at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum at 10:30 a.m. in Manchester, N.H.
