Durling, Robert P., of Marshfield, formerly of Brockton, May 23, at the age of 79. Dear son of the late Kenneth A. and Anna A. (McCarthy) Durling. Loving brother of Annamae Gay and her husband Kenneth of Foxboro and the late Kenneth F. Durling. Also survived by a sister-in-law Yolanda Durling of Dennisport and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was retired from Howard Johnson’s as a purchasing agent for many years. He was the former organist and choir director for St. Ann’s Church in Marshfield. Bob was an excellent cook and caterer. He served many dinners at the church functions and also at the Marshfield Elks Hall where he was a loyal member. Bob served in the National Guard, was a past member of the Marshfield Board of Assessors, and a member of Marshfield Seniors, He was a justice of the peace .Bob was a former bookkeeper at the Fairview Restaurant in Marshfield.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St, Rte, l39, Marshfield on Thursday , May 28th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by The Sea Church at l0 a.m.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
