Corinne (Hatch) Blanchette, 74, died on Saturday May 23,2009 at her home. She was born in Berlin, NH to Erville and Eva (Chabot) Hatch on April 8, 1935 and was a lifelong resident of Gorham. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1953 and worked for New England Telephone in Gorham and Berlin until 1965. She worked for Gordon Boyd Ins. Adjusters for a few years and become an EMT. She then graduated through the University of Health and Sciences in California and became a CRTT with the Cardiopulmonary Dept. at AVH and retired in 1997. Corrine was married to Leo Blanchette on May 26, 1956 and raised three daughters. She was a member of Holy Family Church. She loved the time spent with her family and her many friends. She also loved golfing, painting, reading and her flower garden.
Members of the family include her husband Leo of Gorham, NH; daughters Debra Nugent of Worcester, MA and Lisa Ballam of Dunbarton, NH; 3 grandsons Daniel Nugent and Mark Nugent of Worcester, MA and Steven Lessard of Gorham, NH; a granddaughter Caitlin Nugent of Worcester, MA and a sister Shirley Davis of Leominster, MA. She was predeceased by a daughter and granddaughter Judith and Jenna Lessard in 1988 and a brother William Hatch in 2005.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH with Sister Monique Therriault officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101-9929 or to a charity of one’s choice.
