George "Pal" Moses, 87 years of Brockton died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Frances H. (Bibbo) Moses for 60 years. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Millet and Mary (Kitar) Moses and remained a lifelong resident of the city. George was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1939 and the Fore River Apprentice School. He had been employed as a foreman at Fore River Shipyard and most recently worked as a Real Estate Broker for Robert Tighe Realty in Brockton for many years.
George enjoyed golf, bowling, tennis and playing cards with his friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and making his own furniture. He looked forward to his Thursday night dinner with his friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Paula McGuire and her husband Michael and Claudia Denelle and her husband David both of Brockton; five grandchildren, Stephen, Brian and Christopher McGuire, Ian and Jordan Denelle, and a great granddaughter Mia McGuire. He was the brother of Sadie Kelly of Beverly Farms, Theresa Moses of Brockton and the late Joseph Moses. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
