Graveside funeral services for Johnny Ray Sumner, Sr., 52, of Fitzgerald, Ga. will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Sumner died Friday in Crescent Ridge Nursing Home in Eastman, Ga. following an extended illness.
Mr. Sumner was born in Turner County, Ga. and was the son of the late John Thomas & Frances Lagean Akridge Sumner. He had resided most of his life in Turner County and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Sumner is survived by one son Johnny Ray Sumner, Jr. of Fitzgerald and other beloved relatives.
