WORCESTER-Mercedes Lopez, 50, of Worcester died Thursday, May21st in UMass-Memorial Hospital. She leaves her mother, Virginia (Vazquez) Lopez; two brothers, Juan V. and his wife, Nery Lopez of Worcester and Joaquin Armaiz all of Worcester; two sisters, Suzanne, wife of Hector Tirado of N. Windham, CT and Rosalba Lopez of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in New York City; her father was the late Vincente Lopez.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, May 25th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mercedes Lopez Memorial Fund, c/o O’Connor Brothers, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA 01603.
