Barbara L. MacGregor, 69

Dateline: Glendale, Arizona

Barbara L. (Roney) MacGregor, 69, of Glendale, Arizona formerly of Mansfield passed away on Monday May 18, 2009 at the Life Care Center of North Glendale. She was the beloved wife of Charles P. MacGregor.
Born in Mount Vernon, Illinois on April 11, 1940 she was a loving daughter of Sarah (Wheeler) Bennett of Easton and the late Clyde Roney.
She spent her early childhood living in Illinois until later when her family moved to Easton, MA and where she was also educated in Easton schools
Barbara had been employed for several years at Distron Electronics in Attleboro prior to retiring and had formerly worked at the Codex Corp. in Mansfield.
Mrs. MacGregor was a very warm and caring person and especially enjoyed spending time with her mother. She had made her home in Glendale for the past 11 years and was formerly a resident of Mansfield for many years.
Barbara enjoyed taking trips to the casinos in Connecticut, was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and always remained loyal to New England sport teams, even while making her home in Arizona.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her devoted children Lynn M. Shaker and her husband Wayne of Somerset, Allan W. Johnson, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Pawtucket, R.I., William K. Johnson and his wife Tammy of Mansfield, Lynda J. Johnson and her fiancé James Fuller of Middleboro, Deborah MacGregor-Pedro and her husband James of Glendale, AZ, Diane Ray of Bossier City, Louisiana, Karen Johnstone and her husband Harold of Attleboro and Susan MacGregor-Dumont and her husband Carl of Norton. She was the sister of Bobby Roney and his wife Fran of Westerly, R.I., Richard Roney and his wife Joan of Berkley, Frances Donley and her husband Michael of Maine, Wilma Giarrusso of Middleboro, Joseph “Frankie” Bennett of Brockton and the late Ruth Millington and Betty Guild. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews and her former husband Allan W. Johnson, Sr. of Attleboro.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday May 26th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 25th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the American Lung Association of New England 460 Totten Pond Road-Suite 400 Waltham, MA 02451.
