Mario J. Cestroni, 78 of Tewksbury, died Monday after a brief illness in the Saints Memorial Hospital, Lowell, MA.
Born in East Boston, he lived Tewksbury since 1993 and formerly of Somerville. Mario was the son of the late Concetta (Ferrari) and Archille Cestroni. Mario was a Foreman at Stella Construction in Wakefield for 15 years and retired in 1988. Late U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 and then in the Army Reserves for 21 years as a Master Sergeant.
Beloved husband of Dolores (Casiello) Cestroni. Devoted father of Deborah O'Brien and her husband Paul of Wilmington, Allen Roycroft and his wife Meredith of Wakefield, and the late John Roycroft. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and Phillip O'Brien, Jade and Tylor Roycroft. Brother of Clara Lipscomb and her husband Edward of Virginia, Ann Fougere and her husband Thomas of East Boston, Carmen Cestroni and his wife Wendy of Indiana and the late Amilea DeVeau, Anthony and Edward Cestroni.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
