Marilyn E. (Gardner) Lombardi, of Tewksbury died at her home on May 18th 2009 following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of James M. Lombardi.
Born in Medford on February 20, 1957, she was the daughter of Ronald M. Gardner and the late Mary (Volpe) Gardner.
Marilyn had been a CCD teacher in St. William Church in Tewksbury and was a girls basketball coach at St. Francis Church in Medford. In her spare time she loved to read, garden and shop. Marilyn was the office manager for Attorney Andrew J. Zamparelli in Medford for many years.
Besides her beloved husband, Jim, Marilyn will be sorely missed by her daughter and son-in-law; Tara Lombardi and her husband Alfred D. Cervera of Tewksbury, a cherished granddaughter; Alexis M. L. Cervera, a special niece; Tammie Titelbaum of Rockport. She was the sister in law of Carol and James Mackey, Charles and Janet Lombardi, Thomas and Sandra Lombardi, Ronald and Jeanette Lombardi, Noreen McRae, Susan and Michael Oranczak, Janice Lombardi and Dianne Gardner. She was also the sister of the late Ronald M. Gardner, Robert Gardner and Elaine Gardner. Also survived by her Pet dog Elvis.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Francis Church of Assisi, Fellsway West, Medford, Thursday At 11 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
