Obituary

James F. “Frank” Gray, Sr., 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Monday, May 18 at the Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 20 at Big Creek Cemetery in Irwin County with Rev. J.W. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Gray was born November 4, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Warren and Estelle Nasworthy Gray. He lived in the Community for the past forty years and was a former resident of Tampa, Fl, where he worked as a dairyman. Mr. Gray was a former employee of Bishop’s Well Drilling and Tolleson’s Lumber Company. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, James F. & Alicia Gray, Jimmy & Deana Gray and Sharon Slaughter all of Fitzgerald, Randall & Sunshine Gray of Douglas and Gerald & Lorrie Gray of Fitzgerald; stepchildren, Beverly & Bruce Dennis of Fitzgerald and Ray Hair of Basin, WY; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; brother, Ted Gray of Meigs as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Marjorie Gray, brother, Herman Gray and a sister, Alberta Nasworthy.
