Obituary

Tom Davis Jr. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Davis, was born on September 5th 1933 in Buena Vista, Ga. He departed this walk of life on May 11. 2009.The early part of his life he commuted from Washington DC into Boston coming home on the weekends to be with his family. He lived in Framingham, Ma. Recently moving to Fall River where he presently resided for the last five years. In November 1978 Tom Jr. received a certificate from the State of Massachusetts for upgrading drilling and blasting Tom Jr. achieved awards for the minor of the month. He worked for over 50 years with the local tunnel workers union /local 88. In 2002 Tom Jr. decided it was time to retire. Tom Jr. was a man of determination after being declared legally blind he still wanted to do everything for himself. Tom Jr. was a help to many family members. He loved the races, books on boxers, and other dogs. With a great passion for being the life of the party he would be missed for his famous drop kick, and jumping in the middle of the dance floor yelling hey with the kick of the leg. He enjoyed having his quite time. We will miss seeing him coming to every BBQ which was sure to be fun, and laughter.Tom Jr. leaves to mourn one brother Tavis Davis, a sister Lois Griffin, one brother- in- law Marion Griffin, on sister- in- law Helen-Adams Davis of Durham North Carolina. He also leaves his four children Stevie Walker (deceased) Kathy Young, Tony Johnson (Deceased), and Paulette Johnson. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.and several special nieces and nephews as well as a host of other loving relative and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday May 16 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) JAMAICA PLAIN.
