In Taunton, May 15, 2009 Edward P. husband of the late Avis (Bernier) Conaty, died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 88. Born in Taunton, Edward was the son of the late Frank and Emily (Schmalz) Conaty. Edward was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1939, after school he enlisted in the US Army Air Force as a corporal during WWII he was a marksman rifle expert and gun sight mechanic. Edward was a Retired Shipping Forman for Mason Box in Taunton for 55 Years. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post 611 in Taunton, he loved fishing, his dogs and golfing. Edward was the Grandfather of Christopher Anthony of East Taunton. Father of Cynthia Anthony of East Taunton. Brother of Dorothy Richardson of Taunton and the late John Conaty, Josephine Conaty, Grace Collins and Hazel Rosenberg. Uncle of several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday May 19th at 7:30 am. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 9 am. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-7 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
