Methuen, MA – Marie A. “Yvette” (Hamel) Bohondoney, 88, died Thursday May 14, 2009 at the Mary Immaculate Health Care in Lawrence with her loving family by her side. Marie was born in Lawrence daughter of the late Alfred and Desange (Gagne) Hamel.
Mrs. Bohondoney worked for Tire Rubber, and for 30 years she was employed in telecommunications with Western Electric of North Andover before retiring.
Mrs. Bohondoney was a member of Saint George Orthodox Church in Lawrence which is located on Lowell Street. According to Yvette’s family her needs in life were simple; she had an unconditional love for her family.
The widow of David Bohondoney, Sr. survivors include three sons, Robert & his wife Jean Bohondoney, and David Bohondoney, Jr. & his wife Lynda all of Methuen, as well as Donald & his wife Carol Bohondoney of Derry, NH, 8 grandchildren, Donna, Tina, Robert, Jr., Stephen, Scott, Kerri, Laura, Brian, and 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and one brother; Terry Morel of Methuen, Alfred Hamel, Jr., also of Methuen, Doris Byrne of Hawaii, & Jeannette Cline of Oregon as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday morning at 10 o’clock in Saint George Orthodox Church of Lawrence.
