Milton Williams, 43, of New Bedford died Tuesday July 8, 2003 at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Ethel Mae (McCoy) and Warley J. Williams, Sr.
Mr. Williams was born in Hartsville, South Carolina and had lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
He was a member of the Union Baptist Church in New Bedford.
He was formerly employed as a construction worker.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include 3 sons, Jason Valliere, Jaried Ramos and Severn Milton Williams, all of New Bedford; 4 brothers, Frederick J. Williams of Hamlet, North Carolina, Robert M. Williams of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Warley J. Williams, Jr. and Alphonzo Williams, both of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Loretta W. Cruz and Naomi W. Marinelli, both of New Bedford, and Arnesia Williams of East Providence, RI; 2 grandsons, Shakwon Valliere and Taijhn Valliere; and several nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Severn H. Williams.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 11, 2003 at 3:30 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be on Friday 2-3:30 PM prior to the service. Burial in Rural Cemetery will be private.
