Lawrence, MA - Anthony F. “Tony” Lautieri Sr. died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was 65 years old. Tony passed away peacefully, surrounded by those he loved.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Tony was the son of the late Gene W. and Margaret (Consiglio) Lautieri. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School’s Class of 1961, and then went on to receive a degree in industrial engineering from Lowell Tech. For several years, Tony was the owner and operator of Multi-Core, Inc. in Lowell, during which time many of Tony’s accomplishments included being the driving force behind numerous local start-up companies. In addition, Tony was a distinguished Charter Member of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District, where he provided many years of diligent service.
Tony was involved with the Chieftains Drum and Bugle Corps, and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas along with other destinations on business travel. Most of all, Tony loved spending quality time with his family. Tony’s family was his life; his wife, children, close friends, and extended family meant the world to him. He was an avid Red Sox fan and also loved to golf. Due to his selfless and generous nature, Tony touched the lives of countless people and will be very sadly missed.
Tony is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia A. (Walton) Lautieri, his 3 children, Anthony F. Lautieri Jr. and his fiancé Shawna L. Bernard of North Andover, Michael D. of Lawrence, and Gina L. and her fiancé Todd N. Cassista, also of Lawrence. He also leaves behind one grandson, Ian M. Bernard, his mother-in-law, Lillian Walton of Lawrence, brother-in-law Bruce M. Walton and his wife Sandra (Fox) Walton of Dracut, and several nieces and nephews. For most of their lives, Tony was also like a father to Thomas Mattheson of Lawrence and Kyle and Tony Romano of Methuen.
ARRANGMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., located at 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Funeral Service will be held privately.
