LOWELL - Lillian F. Slowik, 91, a lifelong resident of the City of Lowell, died Monday May 11, 2009 at the Blair House in Tewksbury, MA.
Born in Lowell on June 11, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Janina (Kramarz) Slowik. She received her early education at St. Stanislaus School and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Miss Slowik had been employed for many years by the Internal Revenue Service in the Andover facility retiring as a Branch Chief. She was proud of her contributions and the recognition bestowed as one of the original team members assigned to the IRS processing center.
She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
Lil and her sister were avid sport fans who particularly enjoyed watching and rooting for their beloved Red Sox.
Surviving her are her cousins Mary Ann Slowik of Haverhill and Stephanie Maciejewski of Tewksbury. She was also the sister of the late Anna M. Slowik who predeceased her in 2003.
Her Funeral will be held from the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, Friday at 8:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church, High St., Lowell. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell. To send an online condolence please use the icon below.
