Obituary

Mildred P. McKay, 97, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Monday, May 11, 2009, at the West Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a short period of failing health. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Stoughton and Stoughton High School. Ms. McKay was a resident of West Acres Nursing Home for over 2 years. She worked as an Inspector for JW Wood in Stoughton for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. She was a very generous woman, who was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

She is survived by her sisters Gertrude Peters of Stoughton and Helen Stashis of FL. She was the stepsister of the late Vetie Leedham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 13, at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to services from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Charity Guild, 501 Main St., Brockton, 02301.
