Manchester– George E. Marshall, 82, died May 11, 2009 at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Townsend MA., on January 9, 1927 the son of Leon and Ruth (Morse) Marshall.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for Nabisco for over 25 years.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church as well as an active member of the Elliot Senior Center. He was an avid Celtics and Red Sox fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen G. (Zarsky) Marshall on January 31, 2007.
In His Life: His family includes three children, Daniel E. Marshall and his wife Susan of Manchester, Bonnie M. Edmonds and her late husband Robert of Scituate, MA , David A. Marshall and his wife Ann of Manchester; three grandchildren, Ryan Marshall, Abby Laughlin and Matt Marshall, one great granddaughter Emma Grace Laughlin, all of Manchester; one brother Leon S. Marshall Jr. of Bonita Springs, FL., four sisters, Barbara Peterson of Woburn,MA, Elaine Marshall of Peabody, MA, Nancy Morse of Pepperell, MA, Priscilla Blood of Groton, MA, a sister-in-law Jessie Marshall of Townsend, MA, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: There are no calling hours. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 12 noon in J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St. Manchester.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend MA., at a later date.
