Madeline (Correia) Silvia, wife of the late Theodore R. Silvia, died at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on May 10, 2009.
She was 73.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Phoebe (Fratus) Correia.
Educated in Taunton schools, she later worked as a folder for the former Robertson Curtain Factory.
A lifelong Taunton resident, Mrs. Silvia was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
She leaves a son, Alfred Silvia of Taunton; 4 brothers, George, Armand, John and Anthony Correia, all of Taunton; 5 sisters, Rose Bostock, Virginia Remy, Barbara Correia and Mary Ferreira, all of Taunton, Emilia Derosier of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Ida Sylvia and Joseph Correia.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, May 14th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
