Acushnet – Evelyn (Alves) Huntington, 85, of Acushnet died at home on April 28, 2009. She was the widow of Alfred Huntington.
Mrs. Huntington was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antonio and Deolinda (Pimental) Alves, and was a lifelong resident of Acushnet. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church, New Bedford. She was employed for 30 years by the former Slendertone, New Bedford and was the owner/operator of the former Ev-Renes, New Bedford. She enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Survivors include 5 nieces & 1 nephew. She was sister of the late Mary Martello, Lena Santos, Irene Alves, Rose Bon and Manuel Alves.
