WORCESTER____Loretta B. (Toupin) Langevin, 94, of Billerica, formerly of Chelmsford and Worcester, died April 30, 2009 in Life Care Center of Billerica. Her husband, Levi L. Langevin died in 1950.
She leaves two daughters, Carolyn L. Langevin of Chelmsford and Marilyn C. Carroll and her husband David of Hesperia, CA., a son, Paul L. Langevin and his wife Linda of Hudson, Fl., a grandson, Christian N. Delaney and his wife Julie of Burlington and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Bottineau, North Dakota, a daughter of Arthur and Emma (Marcotte) Toupin and lived many years in Worcester before moving to Chelmsford in 2005. She has resided in Billerica since 2007.
Mrs. Langevin very much enjoyed and managed the Worcester Hahnemann Hospital Coffee Shop for many years before retiring. Patrons came from miles around to sample her unusual fare of frogs legs, steam pudding with hard sauce, roast beef wellington, to name a few. Previous to that she also managed the family business, Toupin Food Shop on Main St., a hallmark in Worcester for many years. Here she had the privilege of tutoring many family members who then continued the business for many more years. She graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester.
The committal service will be held on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester has care of the arrangements.
