John Marshall Dinger, 47, of Londonderry, NH died July 8, 2003 peacefully at his home with his beloved wife Sherri by his side after a prolonged illness. He was born on June 13, 1956 in Orange, NJ, a son of Doris (Marshall) Dinger and the late Harry R. Dinger. He grew up in Oldwick, NJ and was very involved with the Hunterdon County 4H Sheep Club. His family moved to Columbia Cross Roads, PA to run a dairy farm when he was 16. He graduated from Mansfield High School, Class of 1974. After high school, he went on to earn high honors from Mansfield University where he received a BA in finance. He continued his education and received an MBA from Smeal Business School at Penn State in 1988. Upon graduation, he worked at Farm Credit in Newton, NJ as a loan officer. The last eight years he has been employed by Blue Seal Feeds in Londonderry, NH as their corporate credit manager. He was an accomplished martial artist. He was also actively involved in the 4H foundation of New Hampshire. He loved to brew beer, camp, hike, fish and entertain friends at home. He was a member of the Londonderry Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his mother Flemington, NJ, he is also survived by his wife Sherri A. (Pesce) Dinger of Londonderry, three brothers, Robert H. Dinger, William C. Dinger both of Columbia Cross Roads, PA and James P. Dinger of Richmond, VA. He also leaves behind one niece and several nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 11th at 10:00am at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Caregivers of Greater Derry, 58 E. Broadway, Derry, NH 03038 or to the Greater Derry Boys and Girls Club, 40 Hampstead Rd., Derry, NH 03038 or the 4H Foundation.
