James F. Connell, IV, 62 of Londonderry, NH died May 7, 2009 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Jim was born in NYC, NY on December 17, 1946, son of Clara (Swan) Connell and the late James F. Connell III. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Airmont, NY, Laurel, MD, Waxachie, TX and Staten Island. Jim served three tours in Vietnam with the US Marine Corp. He was a graduate of Alfred University in upstate New York with a degree in economics. In 2007 he retired from the IRS where he had worked for 26 years. Jim enjoyed canoeing, camping, golfing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed spending time in his rose garden.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Peg Connell of Londonderry, his mother, Clara Connell of Schroon Lake, NY, one brother, Chris Connell and his wife Sue of Rochester, NY, one niece, Kim Black and her husband Bill of Rochester, also numerous aunts and cousins in NY, CT, VT, ME and CO.
Calling hours were held on Monday May 11, 2009 from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry with cremation that followed.
