Obituary

Thomas J. Brock, 93, passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield hospital on May 6th, 2009. He was born in Malden on June 19th, 1915 to his parents John and Mary (Kenney) Brock. Thomas has been a life-long resident of Malden. For many years, he worked as an inspector for the Converse Rubber Company in Malden. During World War 2, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. He is a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Irish American Club in Malden. He has been a parishioner and communicant at St. Joseph’s Church in Malden for most of his life. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Brock of Malden; by his nephew, John Brock and his wife Dorothy of Lakewood, Ohio; and by his extended family, Richard and Linda Kelley and family of Tewksbury. Along with his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his wife Bernice (Cullen) Brock and by his children Maureen and Kevin Brock. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday May 11th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday May 10th from 4-8 PM.
