Joseph “Jack” Dangerfield, 83, of Summerville, husband of Mamie W. Dangerfield died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Summerville Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 o’clock at Williams Cemetery, Moncks Corner.
Jack was born April 3, 1926 in Charleston, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Dangerfield. He attended schools in Charleston. He enjoyed playing guitar, working on cars, attending church, listening to church songs, fishing and hunting. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
2 sons: William Dangerfield of Summerville and Joseph Jack Dangerfield, Jr. of Brunswick, GA.
4 daughters: Ashley Dangerfield of Summerville, Elizabeth Wilson and Nancy Fear both of North, SC, Debbie Driggers of Georgetown.
10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren
4 sisters: Corrine Bedrose and Mary Dangerfield both of NJ, Martha Varner of Summerville, Francis Dangerfield of NJ.
1 brother: Reuben Dangerfield of Summerville
He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
