OBITUARY
Fitchburg
Marie Margaret Cosgrove, 85, of the Highlands Nursing Home, 335 Nichols
Rd., passed away after a long illness early Friday morning May 1, 2009
with her son at her side.
Marie was born in Gardiner, Maine to William T. Cosgrove and Agnes
(Murray) Cosgrove, one of three daughters, she loved her sisters dearly,
Kathleen A. Smith and Edith J. Muldoon. She is survived by her son Aaron
A. Cosgrove of Leominster and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marie grew up in Gardiner, ME., later received a Realty Broker's license and
was involved in developing the Kennebec River region. She then moved
to152 East 35th St., Manhatten, N.Y. where she gave birth to her only son.
Working as a freelance writer she rewrote thecnical papers in the
helicopter industry so the average person could understand them. She
moved back to Fitchburg to assist her sisters in helping their mother who
had taken ill and then settled in this area to raise her son and deal with her
own long term health problems.
Marie enjoyed the study of hand writing earning her Graphology
certification. She loved all animals taking in every stray and nursing them
back to health. What she enjoyed the most was spending time and talking
to her sisters.
A Mass of Resurection will be held on Tuesday May 5 at 11:00 A.M. at St.
Francis of Assisi Church 63 Sheridan St. Burial will follow in St. Bernard
Cemetery. A visitation time will be held from 9 to 10:30 A.M Tuesday at the
Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. Flowers may be sent or contributions
