Robert M. Briggs of Needham died on July 4th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was 79 years old. Mr. Briggs was born and raised in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth High School. Mr. Briggs was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Harvard Class of 1944. Mr. Briggs a retired accounting manager for New England Telephone Company. The beloved husband of Irene (Nacewicz), he was the loving father of Nancy B. Loderick and her husband Kenneth of Needham. He was the brother of LeBaron Briggs III of Plymouth and David Briggs of Huntington Long Island. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Church on Thursday July 10 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Robert’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
