Obituary

Griffin, Margaret S. (McNeil) of Hyde Park April 20, 2009. She was born June 20, 1937 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Daughter of the late John Ralph and Edwina (Campbell) McNeil, and was the beloved wife of the late John P. Griffin who died in 2004.
She spent her early life in Nova Scotia before coming to the United States in 1951.
A resident of Mission Hill and Hyde Park area, she was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High school in Roxbury. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital for over 20 years in the Telecommunications Department as a telephone operator.

A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by her daughter Meg E. Delorier of Quincy, a son John P. Griffin of Boston and was mother of the late Susan C. Zuroms. She is also survived by her brother John Flynn McNeil of Walpole and was also the sister of the late Harold Edward McNeil. She is also survived by her adoring and loving grandchildren Paul J. Griffin, Kelly G. Delorier, Christine G. Zuroms, Kate E. Zuroms, Christopher W. Claire, John P. Griffin III and MacKenzie Bella Delorier. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours Sunday 5-8 P.M. in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 4, 10:00 A.M. in St. John Chrysostom 4750 Washington St. West Roxbury, MA.
Interment Knollwood Memorial Park Canton, MA.
