METHUEN – Herve A. Gaumond 82 died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at the Bedford Hills Nursing Home in Bedford, NH.
Born in Lawrence and educated in Methuen, MA, he was the son of the late Armand and Melina (Pellerin) Gaumond. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. For many years he was employed as a carpenter at the Lawrence General Hospital, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
The widower of Alice (Thom) Gaumond, he is survived by his son and daughter, Glenn Gaumond and his wife Patricia of Litchfield, NH, and Jeanne Milburn and her husband Mark of Wakefield, MA.
Brother Robert Gaumond of Salem, NH
3 sisters Gloria Robichaud of Methuen, MA, Lucille Baillargeon and her husband Louis of Salem, NH and Delores Hargreaves also of Salem, NH.
4 grandchildren Caitlyn, Timothy, Shane and Kayla.
Several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
