Richard R. “Dick” Belisle, 68, formerly of Jenckes St., Woonsocket, died Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Helen C. (Dupuis) Belisle. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Belisle was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the Corliss Park facility in Providence for over 25 years before retiring.
Richard was passionate about music and found a variety of genres lifted his spirits. He was also an avid photographer and traveled widely. His other hobbies included fishing, scuba diving, and colleting old bottles.
He had a special love for his husky dog and faithful companion, Nikki.
He is survived by a sister, Claudette Lariviere, and her husband Harvey, of Chepachet, a brother, Roger F. Belisle, and his companion Robert Cataldo, of Providence a niece, Jill Klowan of Woonsocket, and a nephew, Scott Lariviere of Chepachet. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
His funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
