WORCESTER-Mary E. (Hazzard) Harden Ambush, 93, of Worcester, passed away Monday, April 27th in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves her husband of 22 years, Nelson W. Ambush; two daughters, Valerie Wilson and Sydney Schuyler; two grandchildren, Deirdre Bobby and Jeff Little Bear; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Samantha Bobby; five stepchildren, Karen, June, Kathy, Stephen and Benjamin; two brothers; six sisters; and several nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Bertrin R. Harden died in 1983.
Mrs. Harden Ambush was born in Woodstock, CT, the daughter of Edward and Maude L. (Brown) Hazzard and was a graduate of Woodstock Academy. She was an assembler for Waters Electronic Company in Sudbury for 19 years until her retirement in 1987. Mrs. Harden Ambush was a tribal elder of the Hassanamisco Nipmuc Nation in Grafton and was a member the Belmont AME Zion Church. Her life revolved around her family and friends.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, May 1st from Noon until 1:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090.
