Harry G. Mehos passed away suddenly on April 25, 2009. He was 55 years old.
Born in Saugus, Harry was a life long resident of the Edgeworth section of Malden before moving to Melrose four years ago. He graduated from Malden High School Class of 1972 and had worked as a shipper for Sparrow Enterprises in East Boston.
Harry was a fixture at every football game at Pearl Street Stadium for the Golden Tornadoes. He also loved hockey and baseball. Harry was involved in all the intercity league baseball games and had coached both Pop Warner and Little League. The greatest thrill for Harry was when he was inducted into the Golden Tornado Football Hall of Fame.
Harry was the devoted son of Barbara (Mikols) Mehos and the late Nicholas Mehos. He was the beloved brother of Michael Mehos and his wife Ellen of Winthrop and John Mehos and his wife Cheryl of Melrose. Harry was the loving uncle of Nicholas Mehos, Katharine Mehos and Jacqueline Mehos. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, April 29th at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 28th from 4-8 p.m. At the request of the family, interment is private.
