Obituary

John F. D’Errico 67, a lifelong Franklin resident, died peacefully at his home Sunday April 26, 2009, following a long illness. He was the former husband of Georgia (Kussmaul) D’Errico of Sandwich.
Born in Milford, August 4, 1941 a son of Theresa (Gianetti) D’Errico of Wrentham, and the late Orlando “Luns” D’Errico, he was raised and educated in local schools, and was a 1959 graduate of Franklin High School.
Mr. D’Errico, was a retired union bricklayer.
He served in the United States Navy for 3 years, he attained the rank of Seaman 3rd class and was honorably discharged in December 1961.
Mr. D’Errico loved animals, and was a longtime New York Giants fan.
Surviving in addition to his former wife and mother is a son Donald J. D’Errico and his wife Pamela of Franklin, a daughter Mary T. Boyle and her husband Scott of West Roxbury, five brothers Rocco of Bellingham, Robert of Wrentham, Paul of Denver, Co, Michael of Tallassee, Fla., and Anthony D’Errico of North Kingstown, RI. Also surviving are his grandchildren Matthew, Danielle, Sarah and Aidan and his beloved beagle “Bella”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Wednesday April 29, at 9AM in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq., Franklin. Interment with military honors will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
